Every year, thousands of employees at ASU are required to attend laboratory safety training. This session will focus on how ASU Environmental Health and Safety re-engineered the laboratory safety class and created an engaging film, called "The Incident" with the help of lab research groups and students. Designed to aid retention of training concepts, the film features an employee working alone in a lab who causes a chemical spill and begins a series of emergency events. The new training involves group discussions about the scenes from the film. Note, this session is not designed to meet the annual training requirements.
