Assistant Research Technologist
The Center for Infectious Diseases and Vaccinology at The Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University seeks an Assistant Research Technologist to perform independent research at the bench in the area of molecular biology, biochemistry and plant biology. Gather and analyze data and keep records. Assist with online literature search and preparing data for various publications. Assist with the preparation of conference publications and research proposals. Candidates should have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift weight up to 50 pounds. This position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry, molecular biology or directly related life sciences field; previous experience in hands-on research in life science; demonstrated experience working in a research team environment. Desired qualifications include demonstrated experience performing independent research; demonstrated experience in protein biochemistry; demonstrated experience in molecular biology; previous experience working with plant expression systems.
