The Biodesign Institute is a highly collaborative environment in which dozens of laboratories have come together to form centers that, in turn, work together on large societal problems. Some of our faculty maintain web sites for their individual labs as a place to provide greater technical detail about their work, additional informaiton about their team and capabilities, or to meet specific reporting requirements required by funding agencies. The content on these pages is overseen/maintained directly by the faculty member or their designee.

Recently, at Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute, N.J. Tao and collaborators have found a way to make a key electrical component on a phenomenally tiny scale. Their single-molecule diode is described in this week’s online edition of Nature Chemistry.
